Okay. Hub-man again. Since the last post, I had one place at the drive thru forget 1/3 of my order (which I found out about when I got home, so I had to drive back).
I went to ANOTHER place for "pickup". Among the items I bought were breadsticks...which they serve in 6, 12, and 24 batches. I ordered 12. Guess how many I got. 8. That's right. 8. Not even an order option.
Are you beginning to see why I hate this? ARGH!
I have found that forgiveness and acceptance of the failings of others keeps the blood pressure lower, reduces stress, and makes for a much happier life. This is just my two cent's worth, but in these situations (which all of us face every day) I try to stop for a moment and ask myself "In 100 years, will this matter to anyone?". If the answer is "no", which it usually is, I try to just forget it and move on. I figure that I have a roof over my head (for now), enough resources to survive on, the love and caring of great family, and most of my internal organs are still functioning somewhat :-) For me, I get no enjoyment from sweating the small stuff, so why should I do it? I'm a bit of a control freak (understatement!) and I sure don't want to let the failings of someone else control how I feel or act. Just my two cents worth (or perhaps less).
